Ballet And All That Jazz has been training generations of children and young adults of all abilities to explore the fun and the magic of creative dance, ballet, tumbling, jazz and contemporary dance under the professional and nurturing instruction of Dagmar Miller since 1990.
Dagmar studied ballet and dance pedagogy at the University of Arts in Bratislava, (Czecho)Slovakia. During her studies she joined and become an assistant choreographer of the famous Slovak National Dance Ensemble "Lucnica". As a soloist of the 45 member ensemble, she traveled and performed on four continents and 25 countries including performances at the grand opening of the Epcot Center in Florida.
In 1986 Dagmar emigrated to United States. Four years later, she opened her own dance school in Gresham, Oregon. Adopting the "Healthy Body Healthy Mind" philosophy, she has utilized her love of dance to open and nurture young dancers minds to hard work and discipline, friendship, and respect for each other. She also emphasises proper nutrition. (One example of this is her rendition of "The Nutcracker" where instead of dancing candy there were dancing vegetables.)
Stars who started their dance careers with Dagmar include Brooke Thornberry (Alonso King Lines Ballet) and Austin Laurent (New York City Ballet).
